The [1] GelderHead Thought of the Day: Believe in Universal Timing. ~Unknown

You don’t just… sit there and stare at the pictures. You have to tell them the story and make them understand, and I think that that’s much more of a challenge for a journalist, and it makes it more interesting in the long run. ~ Christopher Glenn, CBS Radio. He retired in February and is to be inducted in the Radio Hall of Fame next month, died Tuesday at Norwalk Hospital near his home in Connecticut.  The correspondent worked at CBS for 35-years of his 50-plus years in radio.

Mark Larson is right — just listen to him. He’s right in the middle of the broadcast day at KOGO, he’s right with a lot of conservative think tanks, and his right on target. That, in part, is why Mark was the only San Diego talk show host invited to be at the White House next Tuesday. Why the trip? Mark will be one of many invited talkshow hosts to be right in the middle of the action. The White House and the GOP are facing a difficult election in about 20 days. Having a few open mics from various places around the country could help the election. Mark will be there in grand style tapping guests. Meanwhile, the Hill will be hitting the radio and other talk show circuits hard until first Tuesday next month.
KCBQ morning syndicated host Laura Ingraham, sums it up best for her take: “I am not an advocate for the G.O.P. I’m an advocate for conservative ideas.” Stay Tuned!

1360 KLSD, in the same house, but on the other end of the polical spectrum, made a radical left turn last week. Air America filed for bankruptcy, as the liberal talk network faced its latest crisis. Al Frankin confirms and court papers support that money has not been flowing to him — he’s owed more than $300,000. Local host Stacy Taylor said on air that the station remains on target — Bush bashers welcomed. The station has most of the AA programming. It also offers Ed Shultz and Stephanie Miller from other syndicatated hosts.

The Aztecs vs. the Air Force football game, 5pm this Saturday October 21st at Qualcomm Stadium. There will be a free KPRZ tailgate party all Z Club Members can attend that will feature music, activities, prizes, and free food, starting at 3 p.m. in section E4 of the Q Stadium parking lot.!
