San Diego Jack FM continues to make strides in the market. After Star 100.7 had its good-bye and the Jack format took hold, there was a lot of speculation that the format would not succeed. In the Summer book, in the 25-54 age group, Monique & Man gained from a 2.5-3.0 in Summer. Tracy Johnson wrote that the show (is)….growing every month, just as we had hoped/expected. Not whwere we want it yet, nor where it’s going to be…but growing SOLIDLY.
Tracy adds, “In overall 25-54, Jack has better ratings in this summer book than in the summer 2005 book WITH JEFF & JER in the morning in all dayparts EXCEPT morning (obvious). WE have a 3.7 share, which is ½ point from being #2 in the market. We’re VERY happy.
Here’s something interesting: Jack is beating KGB in every day part except mornings.
Tracy adds on the Jack website: “Jack’s ratings are doing very well, and we’re really excited about our momentum and gains we are making every month. It’s kind of funny, because EVERY station will tell you how well they are doing, and that they are #1. Jack is NOT #1 in San Diego overall, and there are statistical “wobbles” in all surveys like this, but we’re very happy with the ratings right now. So far, Jack has continued to grow in the midday (10am-3pm), afternoon (3pm-7pm) and weekend (Sat-Sun) time periods. The morning time slot (6-10am) is showing tremendous growth recently (Mornings are the most competitive time period and the most difficult to grow–and it takes time for new personalities to become known) and evenings are growing, but more slowly than the other time periods.”

Mark Larson is always right in the middle of things at KOGO and when in Washington — he’s never left out of things either. During last week’s broadcast from the White House, Mark was one of the four tapped by CNN to appear with Larry King.
Tomorrow night it is one of the most anticipated shows each year on Coast To Coast AM. Art Bell takes to the mic and host his annual Ghost To Ghost AM. This year, Art is live from the Phillipines. Hear all the spooktacular details on KOGO-AM, KFI, and also on XM Radio channel 165. If you have a good story, share it with Art! Details at the Coast To Coast AM’s website.
