AJChannel 933’s AJ is just hanging out and waiting for some of his radio fans to drop off a mere 60,000 toys in Mission Valley. The toys will benefit the Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. This year marks the fifth annual “AJ’s Kids Crane.”
AJ writes on the website: “Although I have no children of my own, kids are a huge part of my life.”
The goal of 60,000 toys is impressive and it looks like AJ and the morning crew will exceed the goal.

KGB101.5 KGB’s morning show of Dave Rickards, Shelly Dunn, and the Dean of American Sportscasters, Cookie Chainsaw Randolph are fullfilling Christmas dreams this week. Continuing through Friday, the DSC are giveaway $1,000 per day to help make Christmas wishes come true. The “12 Days of Christmas” is more than event, it’s a life changing event for some.
The money for the 12 Days of Christmas is from the proceeds of the annual CD “Best Of” the morning team produces and is currently selling. This year’s special double bonus includes a short film called “The Trouble With Money.” The DVD also includes the highly aclaimed movie “The J-K Conspiracies” — and features special commentary by Dave and Cookie throughout both features.
This Friday, the team will invade a video store near the Sports Arena from 11 to 1 — and will sign the movies after feeding you lunch.
The movie will be for sale until mid-January and is also available for shipping on line. See 101.5 KGB’s website for the details.

With Christmas nearly here — hear here! Christmas music can be found (so far) at KyXy, San Diego’s soft rock choice at 96.5. Also, KiFM soothes and smooths the music in at 98.1 FM.

Jeff GelderJeff Gelder is busy helping Santa out this month — and it’s nearly time to deliver this year’s CD. Jeff writes “Holiday Magic 2006…A Gift for Children of All Ages,” a CD featuring music and a holiday tale that will be distributed to sick children at Children’s Hospital San Diego and their siblings. A number of singers and actors donated their talent for the CD, and funds are currently being solicited to cover the cost of production and ensure as many children as possible receive them. “Donations are requested throughout December. Checks of any denomination should be made out to GelderHead Productions (with Children’s Hospital CD Fund on the memo line) and sent to P.O. Box 3386, San Diego, CA 92163-3386, or donate via Paypal at HolidayMagic2006 and click on “Make a Donation.”
