Buying or selling, Coe and Della

Welcome to SDRadio for Monday, January 8, 2007

The GelderHead thought for the day: “Worry looks around, orry looks back, Faith looks up. Have faith!”

KOGO’s resident sports expert Lee Hamilton writes about the movie We Are Marshall, a story how a college recovers from a tragedy: “I covered the plane crash story there. (The) movie brought back a lot of sad memories for me.” Lee said that North County Times sports columnist John Maffei wrote about his coverage of the tragedy. The column can be viewed at this link.

Dave SteurtTraffic specialist Liza Lake writes about Dr. Dave Steurt: “As a former colleague of “Dr. Dave” I know the halls of Clear Channel will seem empty without his presence. Whether or not they were close to him, everyone knew who he was and I can’t imagine many people could walk away from a conversation with Dave without thinking “What a great guy!” I have a lot of great memories of “the old days” at Kearny Villa with Dave and the rest of us that sometimes felt more like a tight knit family than co-workers. He taught me a lot about computers, general IT and Buffy The Vampire Slayer!”
Bob Hudson writes: “Thanks for printing the obit for Dave Stuart (the way he spelled it when he was a jock) from Clear Channel San Diego. Dave and I worked at KOWN Escondido in the mid-1970’s (KSON’s Nick Upton was also there at the time). Dave was not only a radio DJ then but became one of the first club DJ’s in San Diego County when he started spinning vinyl at the Ice Palace nightclub in Escondido. Dave was known on air and at the club as Dave “Mojo” Stuart. He was always a big friendly guy and although I have not seen him but once in 30 years, I still mourn his passing.”
