At left is our Prognosticating Pooch for this week – Every one’s party favorite! “Chex”; a 5 month old, neutered male, Labrador Retriever Variety Mix. “Chex” is another “Katrina Wave” and came to Helen Woodward Animal Center from Mississippi. Conditions there still create more pets than they can care for and the animals are being transferred to other parts of the country. Here in San Diego they will be examined, vaccinated, altered, and made available for adoption… rather than facing euthanasia in their home states.
