NY Myke on San Diego 1700 AM

Broadcast Company of the America’s CEO John Lynch announced the addition of “New York” Myke Shelby to the lineup of the all new San Diego 1700 AM. “New York” Myke Shelby will begin on the Labor Day Holiday, Monday, September 3 from noon to 1 p.m.
San Diego 1700AM, a live and local news talk station for San Diego about San Diego formerly CASH 1700AM, debuted on August 1 and features Mark Larson mornings between 5 and 9 a.m.
“New York” Myke owns a San Diego motorcycle shop and ran for mayor of San Diego in 2005. An Air Force Vietnam veteran and Brooklyn native, New York Myke moved to San Diego in 1993 and has an extensive background in radio and television. He currently hosts “The New York Myke Show” on wsradio.com weekly.
Mark Larson, program director and morning host said, “His name says “New York” but he’s all San Diego. I’ve known Myke for many years, and am always amazed at his energy and willingness to take stand for what’s right. He laid it on the line for the Mt. Soledad Cross and continues to fight the good fight with enthusiasm. I’m very excited to have him join our team and look forward to his unique view of the news.”
BCA is the owner and operator of XX Sports Radio 1090AM and 105.7FM and home of the San Diego Padres.
San Diego 1700 is the home of USD Football, The Lake Elsinore Storm and LA Galaxy.
BCA is a San Diego-based broadcasting company and was formed in 2003 to purchase the programming rights of Mexico-based 1090 AM; 105.7 FM, and 1700AM in 2005.
