17th San Diego Music Awards are coming on Monday, September 17. The event will be held at the Concerts in the Park. All proceeds will be donated to purchase Taylor Guitars for Elementary Schools in San Diego County. Live performances from Jason Mraz, Buck-O-Nine, Lady Dottie & the Diamonds and more!
US 95.7 has a sneak peak of Kenny Chesney’s new album starting tomorrow. The entire CD will be available to listen on line at US 95.7.
Comedian Frank King will be on KLSD’s Jon Elliott program tonight. The comedian writes, “It’s called Frank’s Funnies, and it’s jokes that I write exclusively for Jon.”
Last week’s announcement by Apple Computer included a possible revenue for the broadcast station. Called iTunes Tagging, lets HDRadio users tag a song for purchase on the the Apple web site. “iTunes tagging takes music discovery on the radio to the next level,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of iPod Product Marketing, in a statement.
The tagging process will be included on HDRadio receivers made by various manufactures, initially for home units.
Fans of former ESPN radio host Dan Patrick have been following a video montage at web site. The funny, well produced video shorts have poked fun at Michael Vick, Fantasy Football, hangin’ by the pool, and domestic life. Dan left ESPN last month and launches a new radio show next week. Stay Tuned.
