Ruining a radio station

Two months. That’s the time frame Clear Channel Management have let out that 1360 KLSD “might” change. Several formats have been floated, listeners rally around their voice, and management drop an “L” into their title: Manglement.

This isn’t fair. Don’t blame the program director, who is wanting to keep the voices of Stacy Taylor, Ed Schultz, and Jon Elliott on the air. Blame manglement for dragging this through the days, weeks, and now months.

What ever course they take, it shouldn’t take this long. Again, it’s not fair to on-air staff, syndicated shows, and the most important key in running a radio station: the listeners.

What ever the course KLSD takes — please go with it. Talent on-air and those who have been tapped for a new format deserve the respect. Those behind the mic, those who do the sales, and those who keep the station on the air are the companies key assets. That way the listeners will not have to wonder….

Stay Tuned
