First AM built in San Diego in a number of years

Broadcast site would be east of downtown San Diego

The FCC has accepted an application for a construction permit. The company submitting the paperwork is Christyahana Broadcasting. The proposed station is at 1400 AM and would be assigned to Lemon Grove, just east of San Diego. The station would be 1,000 watts during the day, and 500 watts during the evening. There is also a chance the station would be 500 watts during the day.

The application is available for viewing at Jim Kelly Enterprises, 9600 Cuyamaca Street, #204, Santee, CA 92071.
