Former San Diego radio executive lands in Vegas

He was part of Jacor, Clear Channel and started Finest City in San Diego

Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc., announced the appointment of Mike Glickenhaus to the position of Vice President and Market Manager for its five Las Vegas radio stations, Classic Hits96.3 KKLZ-FM, fresh 102.7 KFRH-FM, Coyote Country 104.3KCYE-FM, NewsTalk 720 KDWN-AM and Classic Country790 KBET-AM.

In his new role, Mike will report directly to Brian Beasley, Vice President of Operations, and will have overall responsibility for maximizing the cluster’s opportunity in the nation’s 33rd largest radio market.

Originally from New York City, Mike comes to Las Vegas from San Diego where he has been in the radio industry for over twenty-seven years. Most recently, he was the Founder, President and CEO of Finest City Broadcasting which was established in September of 2004 to acquire three San Diego radio stations from Clear Channel Communications. Prior to that, Mike served as Vice President and Market Manager for Clear Channel Communications and Jacor Communications before that, in San Diego. As the sole General Manager in the market for many of these years, Mike oversaw twelve stations as well as the Traffic Network and two Riverside County stations.

During his tenure, at San Diego’s Clear Channel operations it was the largest cluster of radio stations in any single market in the entire country. Mike has been a General Manager or Market Manager in San Diego since 1988 and in Sales and Sales Management in San Diego since 1980. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany. A past President of the San Diego Radio Broadcasters Association, Mike also serves on the Board of Directors of the San Diego International Sports Council.
