Jack Heine has joined US 95.7’s Tony and Kris as the executive producer. He was previously a producer at LA’s Star 98.7 FM morning show.

Tony Randall and Kris Rochester continue to be a top rated San Diego morning team since their arrival to the market in1993. Both hosts are excited to add Heine to their roster, which also includes Linda Welby and Kristi Lyons.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join Tony and Kris. They are one of those rare teams that get along just as well off the air as they do on. No tension, no drama, just two guys who want to make great radio,” Jack said

Kris adds: “This is it, we’ve wanted a producer that not only has experience, but the motivation to get things done. “

xepe-am.jpgSan Diego 1700’s Mark Larson will debut a daily half hour radio show in Iraq, beginning February 25. It will be part of a new network called “A Voice in the Wilderness” operated by military chaplains inside U.S/Coalition bases, for personnel on location.

The daily program will include key newsmaker interviews from Mark’s 1700AM show and commentary specifically prepared for the network program. He’s also the only San Diego talk show host who’s broadcast from as many unique vantage points in the war theater covering Iraq, the Horn of Africa and most recently doing direct broadcasts from the Persian Gulf and inside Afghanistan. (Ted Leitner of XX Sports and Tony and Kris of US 95.7 did a week of shows from Iraq. Mark’s broadcast were also in Iraq, and at sea and in the Afgan theater.)

Military network officials have invited him to Iraq for on-location broadcasts later this year. He also has an invitation to return to Afghanistan. More details coming soon. His daily talkshow airs on San Diego 1700AM from 5 to 9AM.
