If it relates to the business, Russ T. Nailz, and Sully are talking about it on the air. With their topical, laid back, and comic commentary of goings on in the business world, Sully and Russ ‘T’ aren’t only thinking outside the box-they didn’t even know there was a box! Especially with visits from the likes of Gazillionaire Kris Skrinak, The Finance Babe, The Mortgage Dude and Ball Boy Kyle!! Add live call-ins from educated listeners of all ages, live in-studio guests, and even local rock n’ roll bands, and you’ve got the most engaging virtual bar room on the internet radio dial. So pull up a bar stool, pour a tall frosty one with the boys weekdays on the Business TalkRadio Network.
Russ is a San Diego based comedian and has been heard on 91X. Sully gained air experience at 103.7 The Planet. Sully tells SDRadio that the show is heard coast to coast and can be heard locally on KCEO via the Business Talk Radio network. Visit their web site at BigBizShow.com.
Two weeks ago, Scott Fybush and I journeyed to Baja on a romp through legendary radio and television antennas. Scott noted that the call letters for 690 AM have changed to XEWW. Fred Cantu, a television journalist based in Austin, Texas writes, “The XEWW calls have some history. That was the call for the shortwave repeater of XEW, the W flagship in Mexico City. XEW no longer transmits on shortwave.”
Neil Ross writes about Bob Collins. The legendary radio host is being inducted into the radio hall of fame. “Bob did afternoons on KCBQ in ‘69 and ‘70. Those were the days when KCBQ had an unheard of $10,000 cash-call contest.
That combined with Bob’s engaging wit and energy meant in some rating periods he would get better than a thirty share! Of course, he’s better known for the twenty plus years he spent on WGN Chicago, the last ten or so in morning drive.”
Mark Larson adds a photo: The picture is a “1984 blast from the past, the start of our friendship that lasted until his tragic plane accident.” Mark adds, he almost got me to move to WGN …three times over the years!
San Diego’s newest music station is streaming on-line. Sample the Walrus at WalrusFM.com.
