jc.jpgPremiere Radio Networks announced the launch of The Jesus Christ Show into national syndication on June 1. Created and produced by Neil Saavedra, the program is what he calls “interactive radio theater” - an experience designed to engage and inspire listeners and callers to learn more about themselves and the historical person of Jesus. The Jesus Christ Show, which originated on L.A.’s KFI-AM 640 in 1998, will continue to air live from 6 - 9 a.m. PT on Sundays.

Saavedra commented, “Don’t be mistaken. The Jesus Christ Show isn’t just some Sunday morning religious show. It’s fresh and contemporary in content and execution. This is an advice show like no other. People will take notice. People will talk about it. People will listen.”

Premiere Radio EVP of Affiliate Marketing Julie Talbott stated, “While the name of the show is irreverent, the content is anything but, which is why this program is consistently the #1 rated weekend show in Los Angeles and will surely prove to be successful nationally.”

Saavedra started his radio career in 1990 on a small radio station in Ventura, Calif., where he applied his talent to defend truth based on his varied studies of logic, theology, philosophy and religion. Having studied both Catholic and Protestant apologetics, he has a unique but traditional perspective on theology. This perspective, combined with critical thinking and tangible compassion for those wrestling with life’s pitfalls, brings listeners equal doses of both head and heart answers. Coming to KFI-AM 640 as an intern in 1994, Saavedra’s reputation as the station’s resident theologian eventually led to him producing The Jesus Christ Show.
