2008 Marconi Finalists Announced

Radio stations honored by nomination

NAB announced today the finalists for the NAB Marconi Radio Awards honoring radio stations and on-air personalities for excellence in broadcasting. The winners will be announced on September 18 at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show held during The NAB Radio Show at the Austin Convention Center.

The San Diego stations include:

KSDS-FM - Large Market Station Of The Year
fm 94/9 - Rock Station Of The Year
KSON-FM - Country Station Of The Year

Others stations include:

KFI-AM - News/Talk Station Of The Year

Major Market Personality of the Year
John & Ken, KFI-AM Los Angeles, CA
Ryan Seacrest, KISS-FM Los Angeles (also heard mid-days on Star 94.1)

The NAB Marconi Radio Awards were established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi.
