Michael Reagan (right with San Diego’s Mark Larson) will continue to be on the radio. He tells SDRadio: “I am going to be announcing a new syndication deal, in the coming days. It will represent a real opportunity to take this show to places it hasn’t yet gone and to reach listeners who will be new to the Michael Reagan Show.
“It will be regarded by some as bold and maybe even a little risky, but I have never been one to play it safe whether it was shaking up the DC establishment, hosting my show, setting world records racing powerboats, or talking about my very unique life story.
Michael has best wishes from Roger Hedgecock who will take over his time slot early next year. “Radio America has chosen to go with a very experienced local talk host who is intimately familiar with Southern California’s most pressing issues– and I wish them well in all of their endeavors.”

AM 600 KOGO and Radio America have announced that starting on January 5, the first three hours of the Roger Hedgecock Show, heard 3pm-7pm weekdays, will be nationally syndicated across the country.
The show will continue to originate from the AM 600 KOGO studios and will continue to include late-breaking San Diego area news and traffic updates as well as Hedgecock’s commentary on local issues.
The fourth hour of the show, from 6pm-7pm, will expand its focus on the important local topics of the day so that his number one ranked San Diego County audience can continue to rely on the Radio Mayor for the latest in local news and politics.
“I want to assure my listeners that we are committed to addressing the issues that are important to all San Diego County residents,” said Roger.
“Now radio talk listeners will have the chance to hear every weekday why Roger has been the leading radio talk show host in San Diego for more than 20 years,” commented Cliff Albert, Program Director at AM 600 KOGO.
The one-hour window from 6 to 7 p.m., Roger will focus on San Diego, has KOGO mostly syndicated programming throughout its weekday broadcast schedule. That would leave Chip Franklin as the only local and live show in the mornings.
Roger has received numerous local and nation broadcasting awards, including being nominated twice for the NAB Marconi Award.
It is expected that Roger’s Saturday program will end in mid-November. That program was sent out to stations by Syndicated Solutions.
Roger is replacing Michael Reagan at the Radio America Network. Michael is heard locally on San Diego 1700 AM. Radio America is home of G. Gordon Liddy, Doug Stephan, and other conservative hosts.
