AM 540 new schedule on Monday!

Beginning Monday, November 3, the independent-minded and often controversial Michael Savage will air from 5pm to 7pm 540 AM “Southern California’s News/Talk Radio.”

Talk Radio Network’s Michael Savage was named the 2007 recipient of Talkers Magazine’s Freedom of Speech Award. The Michael Savage Show is ranked the 3rd largest syndicated show according to Talkers Magazine.

Joining the stations for the first time is radio and television personality Monica Crowley, whose increasingly popular show will air weeknights from 11pm to 1am.

Crowley has been a guest on the major TV and cable news channels, including ABC, NBC, FOX and HBO and worked as a commentator on National Public Radio’s Morning Edition for four years. When the Fox News Channel launched in 1996, Crowley joined the network as a political and international affairs analyst.

“KGIL has become established as a balanced and independent contender in Southern California talk radio,” said Saul Levine, President of the family owned and operated Mt. Wilson FM Broadcasters. “We’re very confident about this remarkable lineup, which we’ve arrived at after months of fine-tuning and listener feedback.”

Also affected by the shift are Dr. Drew Pinsky and Larry King, whose one-hour shows move to 9pm and 10pm respectively. Lars Larson shifts back one hour to 3pm, and Alan Colmes’ show is cut to two hours. A full revised lineup is below.

In addition to 1260 and 540 AM, the Mt. Wilson FM Broadcasters family includes KKGO “Go Country 105” at 105.1 FM, and through its affiliate, Global Jazz, Inc., manages programming and support services of California State University Long Beach’s KKJZ “K-Jazz” 88.1 FM.
